Widescreen support only works for 3D games (I know its confusing given the name is S3DX but come on people)

I think if the width of sprites were multiplied by 0.8125, stretched widescreen could look authentic enough.

Widescreen isn't possible, but maybe Progressive Scan support through RGBT SCART or component cables is possible?

I didn't think it would be possible, just thought it as a nice suggestion to throw out there.

I am fairly certain that this wouldn't be possible, as the Genesis system is not meant to display in that resolution. However, if anyone has contrary evidence, I would like to see.
