Jon already plans on having something like this for the game, but he only planned on having a single option that toggles everything on and everything off. Since some people are seemingly split on some of the changes such as the homing attack why not make it so people can basically customize what they want enabled through multiple options instead?
It would allow people to customize what improvements they want to play with. They could even play the original game with a few select changes if they really wanted to.
That sounds like an interesting idea, not sure whether or not Jon would want to take that kinda time to program something like that but would be cool.
Maybe it can be done with ROM customization, similar to S3Complete. It'd probably be a lot of work, though.
I suppose we'll have to hope for the best and see if Jon can make it work. It would probably be much better than going with the majority vote from polls that could likely leave some people unhappy. There are other changes (like the changes made to flickies for example) that some people might want to revert due to how much easier they might make the game.
I don't really know how the code works, so it may or may not work with the structure.
Well it was done with Sonic3&K Complete... granted that's a different game, but still idea is out there. I would assume it's more a matter of if it'll fit with the extras he's already adding.
Depends on if this would: A. Take up too much space.
B. Even possible the way the code is written
Mind you, I'm no expert on the way this game's code works, it's mostly a guess.
