It would depend on which particular emulator you chose, but any decent one should be compatible with pretty much all Mega Drive and Genesis games 😊 Just try it out and see, I guess? Also, I can highly recommend the 8bitdo N30/FC30 bluetooth gamepad, with the (bizarrely named) "Xtander" clip for it, it clips the gamepad onto the (from a landscape orientation viewpoint) bottom of most sizes of phones which is totally awesome! I have heard some other game pads have this sort of option too, but I can't vouch for them, and I'm particularly picky about d-pads.
