How exactly was this pulled off? I have always noticed in Toy Story on Genesis (SNES too, but this is more for genesis) that when you move along, there is a sort of 3D effect in the background objects where you get to see the sides move accordingly to the position you are on. Same applies to the floor. How exactly was this pulled off?

I sort of already have an idea of how it's done... but an in-depth explanation would be nice.
I'm guessing the floor is done with horizontal line scrolling. Correct me if i'm wrong.
I'd definitely second this request! It's an awesome looking effect, and I also remember it used in mickey mania in one place - where entering the house through a door (beginning of the "lonesome ghosts" level) a house has a fantastic "3d" house (horisontal stretching, yet working so well with everything else around it).
If you aren't doing so already, do you think you could do a video on this? I know I am not the only one curious about this.
it was a real pain...
