In some versions of Mickey Mania, loading the cartridge into a console with the wrong region will display this message:
This isn't anything strange by itself as most games have a message like this to alert the player that the game can't be played in this region. The strange thing here however is that Mickey Mania also has this screen:
Which will show up if one uses a mod switch or emulator to switch to the correct region after the previous screen has shown up. The game then lets you play like nothing happened.
I'm wondering what the deal with this is. Why have the game check and have a special handler for the extremely strange and unlikely event that a system has suddenly changed regions?
Or maybe they were anticipating emulators...
