Checksum - 8248
This should fix all known issues.
New features:
- All Time Challenges now have a proper time to beat (thanks to SuperMoonKnight for suggesting the times!)
- In Time Challenge, if you pause and then hold A+B+C at the same time you now exit the challenge.
- Super Sonic now smashes ice spikes instead of just running through them
Let me know if you find any new issues.
This release focused on bug fixes and the like. One thing I noticed was the rolling sound effect which was changed to how it sounded in the 2D titles, among other various changes.
Does anyone know what are the changes from Beta 0.3 to Official Release (I guess 1.0)?
As several people requested, here are the Time Challenge walkthrough videos showing that they can be beaten even with some mistakes here and there. I used a keyboard to give myself a slight disadvantage as well. Panic Puppet and The Final Fight will be added soon. Thanks again!

Would be great if new game mode/challenges added in the next version such as no rings challenge (normal/no flickies protection),destroy all badniks with timer challenge and etc to cut down the grinding for 50000 scores.
It (the rolling sound effect) could be annoying and could even distract players since many ppl prefer rolling to destroy a badnik.
I managed to get this build up and running. I've got to say, it's pretty great. It plays like the previous two builds and the times in the Time Challenge mode are great. They're very exact and I like that. It adds a bit of challenge to the game. I'd rather NOT have the times changed.
The spin noise is a nice addition. I'm seeing people say "change the sound effect." All I have to say abut that is that it's a really small nit-pick. I didn't care what the sound effect was while playing. If it's changed to the proposed sound, that's okay; if not, so be it.
I haven't hit 100% yet, so I still can't report on all bugs, but so far, I haven't encountered any (but, I don't think I will encounter any, though).
My only complaint on the Time Challenges lies not with the times themselves, but when the game decides to stop the timer. The timer still continues for around 2 seconds after you touch the final ring, and over 4 whole seconds after laying the killing blow on a boss. I've been killed three times at least because of this little thing, and I find it quite unfair since at that point you've already finished the level, making it just a cruel joke of sorts. If the game could be made to stop the instant you hit the final ring/defeat the boss it would make the time challenges and time bonuses much more fair, in my opinion.
Another small complaint I have is that the lives counter flashes when over 9 lives, and it can be rather distracting. I understand that the game might not have enough space to render a double digit live counter, but it should be fine if it just stays at 9 lives and doesn't flash (for example, the Advance games only count up to 9 lives but still can store more than 9 lives).
Also yeah SFX 0A is much more fitting for the Slow Spin, the current sound effect is just the spindash sound and it's somewhat disconcerting.
Thank you very much for the shout out, really appreciate it
In regards to concerns on the time challenges being too tight, I'm planning on recording every level to show the best routes if you are stuck on one in particular. If you have any that you think need an extra 5 or even 10 seconds, please feel free to say so!
Thanks again!
Small suggestion/tweak regarding the rolling sound effect.
Could you use SFX 0A for the rolling sound effect for DX in the next version?
Haven't checked yet if this has been fixed but I have found an issue in the previous version where as super sonic, its possible to get stuck in the electric fence in gene gadget and you need to turn off super sonic to be able to get unstuck. I haven't seen it reported elsewhere so I thought I'd mention it.
Would be great if you add a feature able to exit from the stage you currently playing on without even completing it(but it doesn't count as completing the stage) or resetting the console/emulator.
The Time Challenge times are really tight.
They don't give the slightest chance for a mistake or bumping into an enemy, if one does it's a restart for sure. They more or less have to be flawless runs or else you won't make it in time.
I mentioned this previously in another thread, but I'd suggest adding 5 or 10 seconds to those times, that could easily alleviate some of the struggle and give some space for slight mistakes while still having a chance to hit the goal in time.
