After collecting all the sonic / continue icons in Green Grove act 1 it put me in this state similiar to the level editor to where I could go wherever I wanted and was invisable, however, this meant I could not end the level effectivley making a softlock, I then reset and collected all the icons again but this time the game continued to function completley normally. Im not sure if theres something intentional that i'm miss understanding or if I discovered a softlock bug.
Hi Jon, yes I could bring up the editor menu (although I didn't know what was going on at the time so I didn't do too much with the menu. I did change to a spikeball using the menu though). I could not jump so there was no way to jump in the exit ring but I could scroll up platforms. I think I could scroll to the edge where the map is completely black, can't remember if I could go beyond the junction or not. It started after I had collected all flickies and jumped on the spring near the river in the second section of the map to get the last sonic icon. When I did that there was immediately just the trail of flickies just like in wimpyfox picture with invisible sonic. I should have recorded except after a couple of minutes of scrolling around the screen glitched out with a mess of tiles (a bit like in some of the special stage glitched screens I've seen). This was the first ever time I had loaded the game, fresh install of fusion, so I hadn't soft reset etc. I tried to reproduce and record it but I've been unable so far.
