Issues with Sonic 3D DX on Steam

I'm having issues with the director's cut of Sonic 3D on Steam. On the title screen after starting the game under SEGA Mega Drive & Genesis Classics (which is how you have to start it) only the game's title is shown. That's how I know that it is the original game and not the director's cut. On the title screen of the director's cut, the title screen is the same, but it also shows "Director's Cut" at the bottom. Also, the options screen had only three options instead of six, and there was also no game save function. I tried to contact Steam to see if they could assist, but I received an error message saying that I had to directly contact SEGA. However, as you developed the DX independently, I don't think SEGA will be able to help. If you could help me get the director's cut of Sonic 3D up and running, I would really appreciate it.
