So, I recently got to 103% after beating the Score Run mode that appears after getting 100%. I was wondering if getting more points lets you get a higher percentage.
Also, I noticed that the prospect of being rewarded with that 100% is a bit tedious. In order to get 100%, you need to max out your score counter by getting it to 5,000,000 points. Now, this doesn't sound so bad, but the problem is that (not counting boss fights) there are only 14 acts in the whole game, and beating it once (with all Sonic icons being collected) gets you only slightly over 1,000,000 points. This means that you have to replay acts over and over and over again. Now, I'm not saying that there should be more zones in the game, I'm saying that the points you need to get should be lowered. Instead of 5,000,000 points, I feel like 3,000,000 or 4,000,000 points is just enough. I had to play the same levels for hours, and after a while, it gets a bit monotonous seeing the same level themes with the same layouts and the same enemies after already running through the game TWICE at that point. I beat all the levels once to get all the chaos emeralds and Sonic icons, and then I beat all the levels again for the Time Challenges. So, having to run through these levels SO many times again wears me out. By the time I got to the Score Run mode, I was bushed. Beating the game normally was fun. Beating the Time Challenges was fun. Playing the Score Run mode was fun. But getting (roughly) 4,000,000 just to get to the Score Run mode...I really don't wanna have to do that again when the full version of this game comes out.
He probably adds new challenges or even game modes in future updates to decrease/remove the grinding as a requirement for 100% the game.
