I have owned Lego Star Wars: The Video Game on my gamecube for a long time now, (It released 3 years after I was born) and I've been wondering what it was like to develop for LucasArts, and now that the gameHut channel exists, I can finally ask someone who helped work on the game. (I'm assuming you worked on it, of course)

LucasArts were fine to work with. The freeplay mode took some convincing as they didn't want you to be able to stroll around Mos Eisley as Darth Maul for instance, but once they understood it was like a kid mixing up his LEGO toys they bought into it. Then they kinda ignored us at first, but when LEGO Star Wars was a hit they started taking it very seriously. But to be fair, they allowed us to be pretty cheeky with their property.
TT did Lego Star Wars too? Somehow I didn't realize this one. I would love to see some videos on THAT dev cycle!
To be fair, i've always been intrigued by how TT and the Lego company (Let alone LucasArts!) managed to form their working relationship with one another...
I think i'll follow this post and see where it goes!
